Um dude.. this game started off as a banger. There were alot of things to do in the beginning. They kep up with things to do for about a month or so. Then they just completey gave up. Season one was rough bc it was difficult to build a decent team. I was ok with that. Season 2 we got awesome rewards. But there was nothing to do. Once madden came out all I did was my dailys.
Just to preface this I have not played MUT or Madden since they stopped making the NCAA games so I dont have a comparison.
IMO it's just a new game, they probably spent 2 years building it from essentially the bottom. And tried hard not to make it madden 2.0. A lot of stuff can be copied over from madden but I do think they did a good job of adding stuff in the offline version of the game and that may be a trial for future installments. It is a business and they will need to do new stuff each year to make people buy they new game and if they do too much in year 1 I assume people will get the same mindset you see in the madden haters "same game new year" by year 3.
They have 10 years to spread out drops for legends players and if they just release them all year 1, then the same cards next year people will get fed up with the same content. I dont know that I would call it lazy but it is a strategy to not go all in year one, then have to do it again year 2 then 3 etc. As kids graduate they will add to the legends pool but but going too quick with legends they will likely run out quick and then we are right here in the same conversation of no content.
Again I can't base this off of MUT but I am sure they see that model and hear the feedback but now that the game is back they need to build a solid base and work up. There are still things to be fixed before adding more but it seems like people like CFB more than madden and if they go the madden route that interest may fade. Once they work out the small kinks like wear and tear, the names being messed up etc they can get more creative with content, to an extent. Gotta cliff hang a little bit.
Again this is coming from someone with no expectations so I love it but I do understand people complaining on how advanced madden is, they have had a few years of a head start. Im excited for the new drops each week/season because I truly do not know what's next.
I do agree id love to see some more college specific stuff. but I feel greedy because all this is new to me. Alt jerseys would be dope. It would be cool to have like rivalry trophies or some sort or trophy showcase room, or do a season vs only rivals. Or have a way to earn alt jerseys through field passes. I think they need to do an awards watchlist promo where the watchlist for the post season awards could get new cards. I think head coaches would be cool, I understand the licensing part of that but having coaches schemes could build into team chems. Winning games with different playbooks could be a cool challenge. Replaying historic games would also be awesome. There is a taste of this in the legends challenges but it's typically one drive and quite easy.
Maybe they have this in MUT but I think it would be cool to pass challenges to get upgrade tokens you can use on cards yu already have. So when TMac got his shield phenoms card, if you had his lower ovr card you could use tokens to upgrade that card to a higher ovr card without having to pay the million coins when it came out. There would need to be some sort of restrictions. S people dont just but the low one cheap and upgrade but if he was in your item binder you can do it. Obviously not fully flushed out but an idea.

CUT/MUT clearly are money generators for the games post-launch, and madden is clearly in a horrible state gameplay-wise. The main thing keeping people on MUT instead of CUT is the content. They have thousands more players to choose from in CUT, a million different ways to give different guys cards, not to mention the thousands of college "legends" (NFL players, retired NFL players) that they have the rights to, and are choosing to slow drip minimal content. There's no solos and the only free rewards (excluding the 2 HR programs) have been from the season pass. They literally do "just enough" content wise to keep people around. I understand that it's not madden and it won't be treated the same- but Ultimate Team modes are literally built around team building and different players/schemes that you can't necessarily do on offline or dynasty modes, and they're really dragging their feet when it comes to quality/fun/different team building options.
I literally just told my boy this the other day …. They want us to be playing and grinding both!!!
i will actually drop the game …. I dropped madden in 2020 and haven’t played a football game until now!
they need to stop being greedy fucks with the hundreds of millions this game has made. not laziness …. Greed

yup i agree with everything you said. and whats worse is that EA has been so damn greedy. 50 plus dollars for maybe 2 cards is absurd at this point. they went from giving users a lot packs and players to now slow dripping it. NCAA 14 had more players im packs than this. They shouldn't have room to care about the NFL's feelings, when they are scamming users from both bases already. I can't even imagine how much money ultimate team truly brings in. Gameplay is fast and I have fun with this game. thats why Im still here, even lack of content and pack odds have been driving me insane all year.
THERE SHULD BE NO REASON they slow drip content, while being okay with charging people $50 dollars for 1 88+ card lol

Also means I don't have to completely switch up my team every few days to keep up with Meta. I took a month from CUT when madden came out and have now switched back to CUT. All it took was a bit of grinding and now I've got an 88 rated team which competes just fine.
On the other side, i would like to see more solo / house rules content for free players. Plus season pass coin rewards, i mean 3k for getting to lvl49. That's lame.
I actually agree with this a big problem i had with previous maddens were that I would stop for one-two weeks and my team would be outdated in someway it always always constant upgrades with more promos always coming around really making it for people that dont spend much money to not be able to keep up with those who pour thousands into the game. the lack of content with cut gets me hype for even just when the small programs release something like the LTDs and stuff like that. Its much more no money spent friendly. While I have spent like $200 I do not have the want to spend more as it was enough for me to now maintain a 88OVR with a really solid lineup.
hulksmashr2 said:I quit CUT 2 months go, you are not built for this game-Madden is where you need to be.
You just have skill issues you aren't good enough to be in cut bozo
The issue is ea took content out and hardly added any new content killing this game
NFL license costs over 1 billion whereas the NIL license costed roughly over 30 million. its not deep at all.

It’s also clearly starting to show that most of their player base doesn’t even know the game that they’re playing. The history of the game that they’re playing. The tradition and pageantry. This isn’t madden. CFB is a celebration. NFL is cutthroat.
All the complaints minus content I’ve heard and read about this game- all madden complaints. This isn’t madden.
this is a dumb take lol

EA is holding content as a way to punish the players for wanting better content? We've had no solos at all this year bro. If it's a celebration, F2P players should be able to earn cards. Absolute 3head bro

Steven segal is that you?
SteveSegal really thought he said something. This is a dumb take and a waste of a thread. Your "a-ha" moment was a big nothing burger.

I never said anything. I typed it. And man did you miss the mark, like most. It’s ok. That’s literally my point about EA. If I see it here imagine what the paid EA professionals see.

Ive been called many offensive things.
The name “Steph” tops the list. I am Steven.

We get literally 6 solos a week and cash grab LTDS people are and should be pissed. EA isn't holding back content they just have no content. Just face the fact we got swindled with a college football game promise and EA robbed us only thing I/we can do is not buy it again next year
