I’m beginning to see the issue with the player base and why EA is holding content

For the fact that this isn’t madden! Everyone expects it to be the same when it’s not. It’s a different name. 

It’s also clearly starting to show that most of their player base doesn’t even know the game that they’re playing. The history of the game that they’re playing. The tradition and pageantry. This isn’t madden.  CFB is a celebration. NFL is cutthroat. 

 All the complaints minus content I’ve heard and read about this game- all madden complaints. This isn’t madden.

Pretty sure the only reasonable complaint is content. Gameplay is better than any madden has been ever imo, on the flip side I've never seen lazier or worse content. There's nothing "CFB Celebration" related to content whatsoever, it's literally just thrown together slop and it's sad. But the gameplay is fun and that's the only thing holding CUT together.

Not trying to be condescending, but tell me why you think EA is withholding content? Laziness can’t be the only reason, so exclude that. 
 

It’s the player base. They realize kids are playing this game thinking it’s madden and not knowing how cfb really works. It’s a different game Than the nfl. So EA figures if they knew better they would do better and proceed to rip us off here in cfb land.

If you want a realistic answer as to why I believe they are withholding content and it can't include laziness- then it's to push people to MUT so that the NFL isn't upset with coming in second to a CFB  game in revenue and they can still bring that to negotiations for the licensing. CUT/MUT clearly are money generators for the games post-launch, and madden is clearly in a horrible state gameplay-wise. The main thing keeping people on MUT instead of CUT is the content. They have thousands more players to choose from in CUT, a million different ways to give different guys cards, not to mention the thousands of college "legends" (NFL players, retired NFL players) that they have the rights to, and are choosing to slow drip minimal content. There's no solos and the only free rewards (excluding the 2 HR programs) have been from the season pass. They literally do "just enough" content wise to keep people around. I understand that it's not madden and it won't be treated the same- but Ultimate Team modes are literally built around team building and different players/schemes that you can't necessarily do on offline or dynasty modes, and they're really dragging their feet when it comes to quality/fun/different team building options.

EA has a licensing agreement with cfb players and teams through NIL, what makes you think they don’t have to answer to them as well? 

This is why I posed this question to you- you gotta dig deeper than the low hanging fruit argument of licensing. Think about it.

Two completely different negotiations, I would assume that you could see why one would matter more to the suits than the other? A lot of flat rate "take it or leave it" for CFB players, and even if (I would be unaware but not shocked) there was a way for current players to make a fuss about not getting money that they generate from packs- they still have the NFL license that they could use for CUT instead, 90+% of those guys came through the NCAA. 

And if it is more to "celebrate college football" as you mentioned (not trying to be condescending, you seem like a cool dude), then why are we still lacking alternate uniforms in CUT this many months into the game? Alt unis are a much bigger and more important piece of college football than they are in the NFL, at the very least I would expect those to be a part of the mode. 

I guess I'm just not sure about the bottom line of the point that you're making- I think it's pretty clear that this isn't madden, but aside from licensing/laziness issues, I honestly can't see what the reason for not putting out more content would be. There's 134 schools in comparison to the 32 teams in the NFL, limitless opportunity, many more traditions and rivalries, like I may actually be too dumb to understand what it is you're trying to say- unless it has to do with their bottom line and negotiations with CFB athletes?

I think a big reason people think CUT is the same as MUT is because EA didn’t change much to the structure & terminology when they built CUT…You have seasons, weekend league, 2 legends per week plus a LTD, auction house, training, ect just to name a few. 
 

But while it was copy & pasted, CUT is MILES better than MUT. Yes I know….Content isn’t as much as everyone wants. But I’m sorry - Everything else is better with CUT. I love not having to spend tons of training to upgrade players. I love that there are no out of position players or pop culture celebrities in the game. I love that you can make any player have any team chemistry.

Honestly my biggest complaint is that they haven’t changed the menu music to fight songs instead of the drum line.

Yes and that's where a lot of the big disconnect is. If they were to come out and say "This is going to look nothing like MUT, there will be similarities in game modes, but that's where it ends" then I think it's a lot better received, the issue is that they literally structured it exactly like MUT, every competitive mode is structured like mut, the only thing different is the lack of content. I do wholeheartedly agree with "Everything else is better with CUT. I love not having to spend tons of training to upgrade players" this sentiment, but again that's the gameplay team's good work of keeping the abilities in check and not having anything that you HAVE to have and creating a meta. The OOP stuff I think belongs in college football (Within reason) to an extent that we see a lot more guys getting touches on both sides of the ball, like for example Jabrill/Adoree/Shaq Thomas and Miles Jack played some RB in college, etc. but in terms of having Ed Too Tall lineup at WR- disgusting. But yeah overall everything about this mode is 10x better, minus the content/drops.

I understand your take but any UT mode should revolve around content. Idc if CFB has to copy paste any madden player, the streets need more content for CUT.

That is a reasonable theory as to the poor support for CUT. First one I've seen that makes any sense.

Steven Segal, I don’t understand your point, what are you trying to talk about. Tradition? Pageantry? Culture? I played cut for a good month. I don’t see tradition, pageantry or anything you pointed out? I saw stem glitch speed boost and no content or same boring content for 5 weeks straight l.
