How to stop texas 4 man

any tips to blocking texas 4 man? i've tried base protecting, blocking hb, half slide and full slide both ways but it runs in free on me almost every time, especially when they are in double mug, very annoying to have 1.5 seconds to throw all game

Not much you can do but try and call dump offs and pray for the best. I hope as the abilities get better the OL logic will improve. I’m also just convinced that players have better RNG than you and I but haven’t figured out what to do on my end. Doesn’t matter if I buy better players the results are typically the same lol.

Spread d line - hover user above the center to make the oline pick him up

As soon as you see the end pick up to stunt inside just roll out.  Have some routes ready to hit on your rollout side when you do.

I'm convinced it's a ratings and player size thing

I had pretty good results pre-patch. Now, pretty lackluster many games. That is my DL pressure in general. And I have Peppers and Ware, which both should be among the most effective pass rushers in the game right now.

How do you even get Texas 4 man to work? I hold the button to call it in online games and it doesn’t come out in it

Last update broke the pre-play command. Gotta do it at LOS now before they snap.

I know how to do it, I don't know how to stop it

Double the left end, ID the right end, and call empty, blocks it 90% of the time, you can also get away with just double teaming and IDing

I.D one dend, double team the other. Usually works

Create empty protection or if you send 5 wr out it automatically puts you in empty protection. Dbl team the DE that seems to be getting in. This stops the Texas stunt. You can then block another player to help pick up someone else or a regular shed that may occur. Try 5 out on routes with the first method. And try blocking run last and see what works best for your scheme. I block and release run a lot.
