So ive been on this platform watching from afar for a bit now but I finally just started actually playing cut about 2 months ago. Basically, since the phase of every card in everyone's lineup is 98 to 99 with tons of abilities stacked basically in every position. I was trying to look back and see what the cards where like during launch, looks like base cards didnt even have abilities? obviously much lower ratings as well. I'm asking you guys how many players about the 1st month of the game should i expect to have abilities on and usually how many of them do you get on per player? What has been your launch strategy? Also does the game play slower? is there more variety of plays being called since people are trying to figure out what the meta is? Just trying to get an idea of what to expect. Thanks!!
Yes, all of that. Lol. The game is much slower in the beginning and due to the lack of abilities on cards until the OVRs get up into the 80s even then the abilities are limited. There's an argument as to whether the game is more fun in the beginning or at the end but that's all subjective. They're will be a lot for us all to learn in the first month or so and they've made some big changes to adjustments, catching, etc. I'm looking forward to 27 much more than I was for 26 and I fell in love with CFB26. ✌️
I personally love the beginning of the year for UT. Figuring things out, finding out what abilities to use that year, etc etc. Going from 98-99 SPD everywhere to core cards is definitely a change that takes a little bit to get used to again. With all the changes they've announced for CUT 27 I'm excited to dive into the new stuff.
I'm going to have to do a near complete reset. I go full nerd as I set up spreadsheets of playbooks and which teams have better running games vs. passing games, personnel differences, who has the best 5 wide sets, best RPOs, etc. I really excited to see teams like Colorado bringing in new OCs we should have a legit Go Go offense and a lot of new plays in CFB27 in CUT I'm hoping.
The best part of all the UT for me is the start.
Slower the creep the better. Keep speed gap and ratings gaps between players. Have weakness and strengths in all our teams. Proper team building and grinding, proper strategy.
When everyone is 99, no one is.

Why ? Apart from a season pass there’s nothing worth spending cash on.
