What defense are you guys running Is it man Zone/match. all out blitz every play? Ive been mixing it with cover 2 man press shade underneath corners but sometimes it gets COOKED same with an all out blitz but I do find more success in all out blitzing.
Playing competitive you’ve got to blitz every play, just have to mix up who’s coming. If you sit back in coverage good players will just shred you apart up and down the field. Safety blitzes seem to hit home more than LB’s IMO.

I would agree with the safety blitz. I have the same experiences, LB blitz just dont seem to get home as much. Im not going to tell you how to play but I hate playing all 0 blitz players. It's just not fun/realistic. It's abusing a mechanic in my opinion. I know blitz heavy is a strategy but 95% 0 blitz is just miserable. I know I should just be better because im I am sure there are ways to beat it, but I struggle. And its just not enjoyable compared to more realistically played games that are mix and match D.
To answer the OP I play with a 4-2-5 and run heavy zone. I have high zone coverage dbs and lbs. My thought process is to have speed and zone coverage because I hardly ever play anyone who run the ball so like to have as many dbs and sacrifice the heavy hitter lbs for better coverage. To be fair I am a below average-average player as im usually only .500 in champs. I am also a terrible user with a LB so having fewer of them makes sense to me. I am also still trying o figure out pre snap adjustments. Trying to find the right balance between not enough and too much. And good players will adjust to your adjustments too. Some try to jam the deep out even after you adjust but the best (not me haha) will then start hitting over the middle so again in my mind I want cover dbs that I can swap from outside shade to underneath to inside shade and not lose too much speed.
I rarely see 3 down lineman fronts. But a have seen few of those.
In terms of adjustments, what do people set their zone drops to? I haven't explored them too much but ive played a few people who completely took away the crossing routs then user the middle of the field and it was an excellent strategy.
The new cover 3 Mable has been PHENOMENAL for me out of Nickel over. Just make sure you leave your zone drops on default and play center field with the deep free safety.
