I'm playing the alumni event and every person I get matched up with has 97 ovr across the aboard.  It's stupid!!!!

Theme and scheme teams. There's some "demons" out there for sure. Lol. Are you doing the Away Team thing? I hope so, if not it's gonna be a long grind. I've learned from some of the YouTube content creators like Slay and Popular Stranger that you can avoid most of them by switching events based on the ranked cycle similar to the auction house. You're seeing them all now because this event is new and EVERYBODY is chasing the free 96. If you don't want to do the Away Team thing and truly want to play the event just wait a few days and all the big dogs will have moved on mostly. Waiting is not good for Away Team thing however because as the more time goes by the harder it is to get matched because most everybody has moved on.

While I believe you are using hyperbole, why would it be ridiculous? 95s are easy to get. Woth chess and such, 97s are reasonable
