Theme team squads

When running squads do theme teams double boost players? Does 1 person having a  theme team give  all squad players a boost or just his players?

I have heard over the years that the offensive team boosts the defensive team but no vice versa. The players definitely get overall boosts, but i dont know exactly how. Hope someone can clarify since me and my buds are Squad Mains

this is a great question. I run squads with my buddy, my team is boosted, but not his. We've been wondering this as well
