Seems like pretty much everyone ive seen has agreed its worth it so guess im gonna have to go for it. Ill have to do it the same way as you, little by little lol

I'm up to 20 and it's doing great so far. It's just expensive.
Another thing, try to find cheap players for your back ups. You will save coins that way
