Would you rather have a player with 97-98 speed and Gold Quick Jump or a player with 95-96 speed and Platinum Quick Jump? Is Platinum that much better than Gold or go with the physical attributes instead?
I have extensively tested the ”Quick Jump” ability in an attempt to learn what‘s required to activate the ability as well as what the limits of this ability are, etc. After 6 full CUT Seasons, it’s time to publish my findings:
I am not embellishing or exaggerating in the slightest when I say that I cannot tell the difference between Bronze Quick Jump & Platinum Quick Jump. They look and play EXACTLY the same. Furthermore, since starting this project I also cannot recall ever seeing the ability “light up” in-game. The only real disparity I found between Platinum & Bronze Quick Jump is the Cost of Training to apply it to a player.
Needless to say I have not applied the Quick Jump ability to any players since probably Season 4 because that’s when it really dawned on me that I was wasting 3AP on Defense as long as Quick Jump was active on my players. That said, I did apply Platinum Quick Jump to several players when it became available so I could complete this experiment.
TLDR;
• There are no apparent differences between the Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum variants of the Quick Jump ability.
• Because of that, it does not make any practical sense to have Quick Jump active in your Defensive Lineups.
• My recommendation for the 7th and final Season of College Ultimate Team 25 is to remove Quick Jump from your Ability rotations and use the 3AP on an ability that is actually effective such as:
• House Call (3AP) ***This is my Bread & Butter ability for either my User, a LB with the Pass Coverage Archetype, and obviously on my Cornerbacks and Safeties.***
• Aftershock (5AP)
• Knockout (3AP)
• Hammer (3AP)
• Robber (3AP)
• Ballhawk (4AP)
••• Honorable Mention •••
• Inside/Outside Disruptor (4AP)
• Takedown (2AP)
• Wrap Up (3 AP)
• Blow Up (3AP)
• Grip Breaker (3AP)

Well, myself and thousands of other CUT community members and players were wasting AP on abilities like DOT! which, despite EA never mentioning it, is completely incompatible with all Passing settings except for Placement. That’s just one of 3-5 abilities that share similar restrictions. Lazy fuckin’ Devs.

Perhaps it’s my reading comprehension, you said there is no difference between the quick jumps, but what about no quick jump vs any quick jump?

He's saying it isn't with paying for a platinum ability with bronze level benefit at this point in the game

Really trying to decide between House Call and Ballhawk. I love ballhawk having my guys react faster/better, but have never used House Call. Is the only benefit of House Call they stop swatting the ball and actually catch it, or do they react better to the ball overall? I understand how frustrating dropped picks are, but in my head Ballhawk breaks up more passes overall.
