Out of Position Overall - Do their stats actually drop?

Does putting a safety at corner really drop them by all stats by a few, or are their shown stats when in the position accurate? Will a 97 speed drop to a 95?

They lose composure, which is equivalent to an xfactor in Madden. Will affect their reaction speeds, play rec, etc.
