✋ BYU has been my playbook of choice so far. Running Gun Split Close primarily like my madden 17/18 days. Definitely not the best formation but it's fun
Kansas State and loving my scheme.
USF has a bunch of annoying wide formations
MTSU's Air Raid book has a bunch of fun gun formations with motion, and some of the best singleback/pistol from the generic pro book last year.
Jax State
Gun Ace Slot Offset

Anything you're using for scheme up Split Close or just running off what you knew from before? This book has it too and I really want to mix it in.

Mainly stuff from back then. I run a lot of the play called Close HB wheel, which is unfortunately not in the south Alabama playbook. I would've actually switched to South Alabama if it had my play.

I haven't really decided upon anything, just grabbed the game late Friday evening -- are there any sets, or what's the best / easiest way to go about acquiring specific playbooks? Buy em from the AH, liek everything else? Or what am i missing here. Apologies in advance for the n00b question, i came up blank searching for random playbook sets.
I was leaning towards something liek Oregon State, but i honestly have no clue. More meta than off-meta, for sure.

you can get a ton a free playbooks from challenges, if you are looking for a specific playbook (spread, pro, etc) check the catalog and team before making a choice. it tells you what chem each playbook is on the card

THANK YOU, i've just begun rolling through the CUT201 tier Solo Challenges, i'll resume that shortly. Thank you for the expert advice. Any in particular you recommend?

Might not be quite the same if the spacing is different but I'm going to mess around and see if I can make the mesh or drive hb wheel play similar enough by hot routing.
I appreciate the replies!

Bowling Green and Oregon st are the meta right now....tons of great plays in both. guess it all comes down to play style and being comfortable. EA has done a pretty good job of making most playbooks usable this year

Thank you OH so very much, just did Multiple offense and managed to earn Oregon State, that's what I was leaning towards upon first glance. Missed Bowling Green, will also take a look at that. Appreciate the hand holding, your advice has been absolutely stellar. 💪
Now I've got a lot of defense playbooks to investigate.
