I’m pretty sure cut sticks work too and are a little more likely to register than a hit stick. Same kinda strategy where you get them to dump it off on a short pass or even a run that gets past the LOS, then switch to the nearest defender and flick down on the right stick as you’re approaching the ball carrier. My guy literally just dived at the ground but it counted for the objective so I’ll take it lol

I believe it doesn’t count in challenges if it’s behind the line of scrimmage, so sacks and stuffs don’t count.  They have to be past the line of scrimmage for it to register in challenges.

So generally go for a sack first, then play a little deeper so they get yards but not a 1st down then whack them.

I know how it’s done, but I struggle mightily too and just accept my 4 stars and move on mostly.

You think that’s a carryover from Madden after CTE became a big thing in the news the NFL discouraged big hits on the passers and defenseless receivers from being rewarded in games and EA just did it to keep the NFL happy with EA Sports as the only brand in football gaming? That’s at least what I heard it and sucks either way. Because I can lay a QB out and it absolutely should count but you gotta hope they throw it short or takeoff running to get a hit stick to count.

I sure wish it counted on the QB in the backfield !  I can hit stick him from the side hard enough to make him cough the ball up but apparently that’s not a big hit / hitstick.  Makes zero sense.

It does make zero sense, and hit stick challenges or weeklies have been a huge issue for me because the easiest people to hit with power are people in the backfield. The only thing I can think of is it is part of the push to make injuries and big hits particularly on QBs dropping back a smaller part of the game because the NFL thinks that’s a bad look with CTE such a big scar to their image and this game gets treated like maddens little brother.
