Is College Football Video Game Dead? How Long Will You Play?

Hey everyone, I’ve been grinding EA Sports College Football 25, but I’m wondering if the game’s losing steam already. Do you think the college football video game scene is dead or still thriving? How long are you planning to keep playing—until the servers shut down or just until the next release? Drop your thoughts below, especially if you’re still hooked or already moving on!

lol same, im playing hopefully for like 1500+ days cuz i spent too much on ulltimate team just to give up once 26 drop lol

I have been an every day player since 25 dropped last summer but recently I find myself getting on every 2 or 3 days and just get bored super quick. Only reason is to try to collect the last few players im interested in. Everybodys team is equal now and the promos are pretty lame and a lot of players are retreads. I have not ordered 26 and dont plan to. Im sure one CFB fires back up in the fall I may be back to a more regular player. Still not sold on 26 though so Ill prob just keep playing 25.

Its getting toward the end of this games life cycle for sure, so it has recently slowed down quite a bit for sure. I will still play until CFB 26 comes out, but just not quite as much as I was playing the rest of the year.

I've stopped. Take a nice little 1 1/2-2 month break from it so when 26 drops it'll be less burnout.

I still play with regularity and will very likely buy 26. Not surprised or disappointed that  many have stopped or slowed down. Kinda natural that many want a break.

The game will be dead once 26 drops. You will have a few that stay on 25, but there won't be new content and wait times will continue to grow for head to head. 

I spend no money in game, so dropping $100 once a year for a game I play at least 6 months is a no brainer for me.

I still play regularly. I used to only play Dynasty but the guys I would play with stopped. I gave UT a try and got hooked.

I don't plan to buy '26 anywhere near release, so I'll play this one quite a while. The main issue will be what kind of rewards are available on a weekly basis after Season 7 ends (and if the champs glitch ever gets fixed).

That's how it was for me, but with Road to Glory instead of dynasty

I’m going to play until spring of next year and then get CUT 26.

Too much money, time, broken AI(probably just DDA).

so hoping squads stays alive until at least the new year. then I’ll take a break completely.
