Impact blocking

Does this matter for dlineman?  Under stats it shows impact blocking under offense. Wondering if anyone has tested it.

Impact blocking just helps the d-line NOT get pancaked

My understanding always was impact blocking comes into play when two players interact with distance between them. Like a CB vs WR (when not pressed). 

High blockshed is what you’d want on dline.

I’m gonna be honest, I haven’t noticed those thing do anything to players, been spammed by the same play and the CPU still plays like a dyslexic raisin. Awarness wise same thing, receiver running up in front of them and they still shuffle like they’re in their own little world. But if someone proves me wrong I’d be happy to know
