I miss CFB 25 - CFB.FAN

CFB 25 was quite literally a better game from an Ultimate Team perspective, me and my homie that I run squads with talk about it often. We’re going to finish this year out, but I’m 95% sure I’m not returning going forward with future releases.

Last year people cried about half back direct, RPO’s, corner routes, and how overpowered the AP’s were. They listened to the community and either completely nerfed those 4 or added adjustments to counter them. This year you play teams and they run wildcat the ENTIRE game. They’re in the same defense the ENTIRE game that they found on YouTube. We like to explore playbooks (both offense & defense) and I’m stuck running Spread because for me it’s the only way I can put up 24+ points a game. The 3-3-5 is not remotely as dominant as it was last year.

We actually run the ball, use RPO’s, use short passes, utilize play action, and take shot plays to literally match up against grown men who have 1 play in their favorites, wildcat… 😪 (edited: you can tell who can’t think for themselves because they’re in wildcat, bunch, or trips the ENTIRE game)

(edited) Also, last year you could time interceptions and you could force fumbles.

Bro... for real. Use to be able to hit deep shots too if the defense was leaving the wide go's on an island. Thats also gone. All I run into is mid blitz and gun bunch spam. Of course we can beat it, but what fun is it to run out vs the same garbage EVERY play.

Shot plays and deep shots are no more unless you have cleared the DB by 7+ yards or face cut the safety, and even then the CPU will adjust better to the ball than your own WR. I’m having to run jackpot something I’ve never ran before because my 6’5 wide receiver can’t adjust to the ball better than the 6’1 DB that’s guarding him. Insanity.
