As a rare minority in this game, I actually like to play in a realistic style and enjoy running the ball. My biggest headaches have been those that hover over center and  DT and come in unblocked every play. Not terrible to pass against, but idk how to counter than running the ball

Ill try it out, thanks. Usually as soon as I see it, I just ditch running until they stop, but there’s really no draw back to doing it on defense

Different runs block it differently. Maybe try some powers, traps, or duos vs mostly zone runs.

Untarget the guy hovering over the DT and double team the DT that's  being hovered over

All of a sudden, I'm seeing this too..... ppl bringing their LBs in and hovering over the line....I have to abandon the run and get the ball out quickly. 

I'm also wondering whether there are any running plays to counter this.....

Goal line toss play can be very effective if you have a good line.
