Somebody please give me a consistent way to block texas 4 man, I'm begging you. Some people that run it are having it come in 100% of the time. Usually out of double a gap with spread linebackers and d line. It's literally driving me insane I swear I've tried everything. Play action, half slides, full slides, ID's, HB blocked, still butt naked right up the middle. They add all these stunts in the game for 1 stunt to get abused for months and glitch the offensive line.

Empty protection offers some help. For most consistent, you have to shift line one way and double team the opposite DE. Can block RB and/or TE. Some of it can be impacted by formation
Full slide away from HB, block HB, ID Mike on HB side and untarget user.
Or go to empty and throw hot.

My opinion is that I should never have to block the HB to pick up 4 rushers vs 5 blockers but I take your point.

I would love to find a way to block it 5 on 4. I will try sliding away and double teaming the opposite DE, thank you. I wish EA never introduced this garbage, knowing that they would ruin part of the game with it. Game came out in july and I still have texas 4 man a gappers running free in september. game sucks.

I do something similar. But I half slide protection away from the RB and also double team the REDG on the side I am not sliding to protect. It makes it so you don't even need to block the RB, but i suppose if you're having problms, it's best to go all out to stop it

True. I just don't get why when I run it, nothing happens. But other people run it and I'm sacked in 1.5 seconds as my O line completely dumbs out. And if you turn the ball over in this game once vs someone with a brain, the game is over lol. Defense is impossible as it is and then they get free stops from glitching the O line

Oh I agree. I find the best thing to do is run a pressure look and mix up the coverage to confuse my opponent into a mistake. I run nickel double mug, set coverage shell to cover zero and then keep changing my coverage, throw in the odd blitz.
If you drop slightly left or right in the pocket you can manipulate the angle of the loopers to run into the oline.
Doesn't work perfectly every time but it's an easy way to lessen the pressure with little to no adjustment.

To send five out one must call empty protection, untarget a linebacker that’s hovering over the center, double team DE on the same side as the RB, then Id the opposite side DE.
