Fernando Mendoza RB?

One of the what if? Challenges is Fernando Mendoza at running back, do we think this will actually happen? And if so air raid is going to go crazy with double Mendoza in the backfield

Even if it happens, you're not able to put the same player on the field twice with this promo.   Even if a different position.

I had Kayden Proctor LT and TE from training rolls and had to choose between the two. Only one in the lineup as of right now.

Dang, hopefully they fix it. Kinda dumb they drop multiple offensive players with the same name and you have to pick one. But I see why EA did it

I will never question his toughness to take a hit for sure.  I thought for sure Caden Curry knocked him out in the B1G championship game, he came back and knocked us out.

Me too, I have kept both and just switch them up.  I have so many nice LTs and TEs right now, its tough.  Which one did you keep?  The TE is a lot of fun if people aren't paying attention, you can sneak him out for a long pass.

I kept the Lt and quicksold the tight end version. I have the  David Pollack tight end. He's pretty good. I play mostly offline so for me, card performance is only part of the equation. The other part is how they look and how they move. I don't really care for out of position lineman cards for that reason, but I will say Pollack's card looks and plays like any other tight end. Then I have Beer  and Ebron behind him. I had Coffmana minute, pulled him from the $100 bundle when he came out. I kept him for a week but ended up selling him because he had a goofy running style. Lol. That's just me. ✌️

No man I'm with you.  I play h2h mostly to fill up my field passes but I have been having a little fun with ranked lately (its a little annoying with people spamming ebooks and glitches).  I'm actually up to Gold which every other season ive been stuck on Bronze  :).  I hated the Blue Chip Tate and HS Ingram on how they ran the ball.  I'm more into names than numbers.  If a card is slightly less in OVRs but its someone I like I keep it.  I see a lot of people trashing the Jevon Kearse card for example but I would love to pull him, that takes me back to my early Madden days when we used to do fantasy drafts I would always try to draft him and Keith Bullock on defense.  By the way Ebron is a dog, he has killed me in a few online games for sure.

Yeah he’s pretty tough for sure, as much as I want him for air raid, he’d be STUPID over powered lol. 6’5 with downhill, shifty, arm bar? Yeah no one’s coming close 😂

I think all backs this year that are under 5'10" run funny. And with one hand holding the ball out to the side like Dieon Sanders use to do. And still does in Madden. Lol. I have had so much more fun with the 6'O backs this year. I'm using Brooks and Bangura as 1 & 2 but Jeremiah Cobb is my 3 and he's a dawg too so I'll hang on to him and swap him out when I get bored. I had Roberts from the Homegrown Heroes too, also a very good back, but sold him for training recently. 

As far as Kearse goes, he's a beast but I like usering my D-line guys because I can't really switch stick very well but they gave him no traits so I can't rip, club, swim, etc with him.  Interestingly, even though usering D Line is out of fashion except for the newbies and old schoolers like me, there a bit of a cheat to it. Normally, of you want get off your D Line after a snap, you push up on the D pad. Well, if it's a run play in anyway shape or form it will not let you of the D Line by pressing up on the D pad. Little extra cheat to if the CPU is running or passing. I have no idea if that works in online competitive or not. I figure most people don't user linemen anymore so most may not know about it. As far as passing I just hit circle when the ball gets thrown and that puts me on the DB closest to where the ball is going. With switch sticking I just blow coverage and make things harder on myself. Lol. ✌️

Thats cool, I never knew that with the D-Pad I will have to test that out.  I do usually user a LBer or safety but never a CB for the most part.  My switch stick isnt great but it is something I'm trying to improve upon.  I saw a tip from Dyl which I have used is to use my Dual Sense controller and map the button levers as switch stick controls which is better for me as I switch stick better by switching Left to Right and vice versa than Switching up and down.  

You don't know how to manually press a WR at the line do you?  I thought there was a way to do it but I can never line them up?  I have found a lot of people (not all) online gamers have a favorite WR or TE they like and if you can disrupt that you can get more wins.  Which Edge or DTs have been your best in this game?

I do not know how to press. I  see the prompts for it pre snap but by the time I try and get it the ball snaps usually. I'll have to see what I can find on Zan's channel about it. I think I'll try more H2H next year. We'll see. Last year's Madden was my first foray back into the football video game world in a long time. ESPN 2K5 long time to be exact. Lol. So I might be up to speed by next year. 🤣✌️

Just jumped into a freshman season game to see what I could find on press. In my Va Tech 425 defense playbook, the only option I get to press a receiver is out of a Man Press play specifically. Then there's an icon above the corner that reads "press: X+LS"

Now, do you hold X? Do you just press X? I don't know. I'm playing around with it and jumped offsides and blown coverage more than once. Lol. I'm really not sure how it works. I'm curious to know if it's user only or if it can be done with the AI controlling the corner. Like I said I'll dig on Zan's channel and see what I can find. I wish they had a better way to practice defense. Even in practice mode you're at the mercy of the CPU controlled ball snap unless I'm missing a way to control it from the defensive side.
