Terrible that EA uses it for a competitive mode. Why would a single person spend a dime when DDA is a part of the game?!?
Preach.
I haven't played Madden the last 2 years. For those of you that are playing both......is there DDA in Madden?
I'm so fed up with the DDA in CUT, that I'm considering going back to Madden next year.
Has anyone else had this experience. Youre in a game when DDA is really showing, against a lower OVR team then you. Then after halftime, the game completely flips and their 87/88 OVR finally start playing like it? Whenever I play a DDA game, my mindset it always to just get to halftime, because it seems to go away after that. I feel like it is used to make sure people dont immediately lose 21-0 and give the illusion that it was a close game so the player with the worst team is more likely to keep playing. Has anyone else seen that or does it last all game for you?

Yeah, I've definitely noticed what you are saying. So much so, that I change my playstyle. If I feel the DDA is off the chains.....I stop blitzing.....because I don't want to let up 1-play Touchdowns. If you are battling DDA, you can blitz 6.....and the opponent will have 3 seconds to throw and only block 5.....then hit a crossing route, my defender will bounce off the receiver and fall to the ground while trying to tackle....and next thing you know it's a 70 yard TD.
So, I scrap all Man-0 blitz/coverages, and mix in more zone and try to win with the switch stick. Force the opponent to make 30 good reads in the game.....hope that they'll make 5 mistakes.....then it's a matter of catching 2 for interceptions.
And I swear those 2 interceptions happen in the 2nd half. Is that the DDA filtering out?.....is it a little bit of the opponents lower rated players getting wear and tear?....is it that I'm figuring out my opponent's tendency's so I know the playcall?
Not only that- it ruins the entire point of team building and to an extent matchup scheme. Why are people trying to get the best cards/theme team if their 95 speed WR is going to be ran stride for stride with by an 89 speed linebacker? Just lame and makes the experience so much worse.
I noticed when I sold Vick and started using Archie Manning I started playing much easier teams even in Heisman h2h.
I am a pretty good h2h player. Far from the best, but I beat most. I noticed that the better my team was the more I got DDA'd. Knockouts became impossible. The best carry RB in the game fumbling nonstop. You know the drill.
I sold off a lot of those players. Got budget players instead. Now, my team is still good in terms of overall, but it's not the highest it can be. I noticed I don't get DDA'd as much now.
Every time I buy the newest and latest player, I know what's coming.
I understand the logic behind dda, but, in my case, it's disincentivized me from being overly active in the auction house and opening packs with coins. Creating a better team makes your games more difficult than easier.
I think EA went a little too far this year and dda is exactly why this is my last year playing any EA sports game.
Don’t get me started when a 5’11 91 ovr wr aggs me on every play

Sadly, this is the only part of the system they thought out pretty decently. Well, for them, not us. Someone with the better team gets a DDA game and gets annoyed and thinks "what's the point of getting good players" (not disagreeing btw), but then on the flip side, the person with the lower overall team only gets that boost when their season is 0-2 or maybe up to 2-2, but will never get into the playoffs. So you need the good players, but it just screws you sometimes. I know they say its random matchmaking, but there's no way I "randomly" play someone with 750+ hours only in championship games.
