CUT vets. Two questions

I am thinking of getting 27 

Most will think this is silly -

The reason I am thinking of getting it - 

MUT has made all h2h online games at night. And I hate it. The game looks so much better in the day time. FUT have done similar and it's so generic and just doesn't sit right with my eye.

1 - It seems from reddit clips that h2h online still has the day vibes. Is that the case ?

2 - Is the power creep slower in CUT. Which I think would be great, as I dislike when all the 99s and OOP players come out in UTs

I have bought this game every year and will next year. It’s not perfect, especially CUT, but I still think it is more enjoyable than MUT. 

There are cards that are better, but I don’t think any are overpowered. X-Factors in Madden have completely ruined MUT. I remember a couple years ago with the Chiefs vs 49ers SB promo my duo created a D-line that essentially had X-Factors all game activated and could get to any QB within 1-2 seconds. Marshawn Lynch Beast Mode basically getting freight train all game and breaking 5+ tackles to the endzone. CUT doesn’t seem to have these types of game-breaking issues.

In terms of card power I thought it was ok this year. I will tell you that ironically the most enjoyable time to play in terms of gameplay for me this year was the first and second season. Everyone is pretty much in even playing field. I really wish they would look at speed ratings and not hand out 99s to every card, but they would lose money.

I hope they stay away from all of that, we don't need this game to turn into NFL Blitz.  This is my first year in CUT and I didn't even use abilities until season 3 and I was beating people pretty regularly even when I didn't use any.  I get why they do it, it adds another layer to the game, I'm actually surprised they don't offer a way to pay to increase your total XP.

Yeah, I love the start of ultimate team. When all the 99 speed comes, I just quit.

I had an idea that speed be one rating that never changes.

so, give everyone their proper speed from the start and let all the other ratings rise with the creep.

but as you said they won't . as speed sells. but when everyone is 99, no one is.

The fact you guys are saying CUT doesn't have all those stupid x factors, has gained EA a sale in me.

Glad to have to aboard!!!!   We do still complain about this game here and there but overall I love it.  I grew up on Madden, but it just doesn't feel right to me.  Honestly, the perspective of the field and the size of the players seems off to me, but maybe thats just my take.  The announcers are also like fingernails on a chalkboard and they don't capture the environment of an NFL game at all IMO.  I had to do some of the crossover events for CFB26 and I just didn't like the way MUT was set up and I doubt I buy Madden 27 this year.  I bought the package last year because I thought I'd be 70/30 CUT but it really was 99/1 ratio.

Same, I had not played anything on Xbox since Madden 2011.  I bought the CFB / MADDEN twin pack (cheap version without free points).  I figured I’d play 50% dynasty CFB, 50% Madden Bills franchise.  Bought in September, only played CFB Dynasty until after Xmas, tried UT CFB one day when bored before new years (Polar Vortex was out, CFB playoffs was out too - 94’s were the max bar a couple of new 95 LTDs)

Liked CFB UT so tried Madden UT and played both for 6 weeks before realising it was too time consuming to do both.  Was easy, dropped MUT.

So - expectation 50% CFB Dynasty, 50% Madden Franchise.

Reality - 30% CFB Dynasty, 65% CUT , 5% MUT, 0% Madden Franchise. (That’s over the whole season)

Current Reality, - 15% CFB Dynasty, 85% CUT

Fair to say I’m a convert and looking forward to CFB 27.  My only gripe, 99’s became too common too early.  I’d prefer if the top cards were like 80 rated in season 1 and 99’s didn’t hit until the last season.

Thats a great point, I to think it was too fast and loose with the 99s.  I still don't understand the weight on what abilities do and how much they improve a player.  Like I have sure hands on many of my guys and it doesn't seem to do that much although I'm still leanring my muscle memory trying to remember to do an X, Square, or Triangle catch.

LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!  Thats hilarious.  I still don't lknow how these content creators on the fly know the buttons for both.  But these dudes are also blowing my mind with like 12 adjustments before a snap.  I'm happy if I can lock in 4 or 5  haha

Yeah,  I  quit all UTs when the 99s come out.

I don't need a 350lb DT chasing down my Rb. 

Slow the power creep right down. Keep team building fun, and playing is fun when you have your opponent have weakness

Madden used to have a Salary Cap mode. Best mode ever. Teams were unique but always evenly matched, regardless of season. 

Also great match making, as they typically matched you up with people near your rank/skill level. You would never see anything close too 200-5 with that type of match making. It made it fun trying to climb the ladder, whether it was trying to move from 2500 to 2000 or from 150 to top 100.

Depends on what you like to play and what you can put up with.... if you just wanna have fun and play dynasty or build a CUT team its prolly worth getting.... if you like playing h2h this & Madden are prolly the worst of any sports game. 8/10 ppl only run their favorite 2 youtube plays on both O/D and since you get 4 downs you only need the cheese to work 25% of the time on offense to be unstoppable.... add in the DDA and h2h is more frustrating than anything.
