This has happened 4 times since early launch.
It happened last year with Madden 25, and now this year with CFB26.
Why is this happening and how do you make it stop? It has never happened with any other game and I’ve seen other users (PS5 and Xbox) complain about this on social media
I’ve had the same problem. Figured it was a power supply problem.

It only ever has happened on Madden or CFB games.
I saw CC had an issue with his Playstation and Zirksee with his Xbox.
Is it a cooling/ventilation problem? If so, would a cooling stand help?

I haven’t messed with it yet but planning to start with a vacuum and done compressed air. There are YouTube videos about it and how to clean out even swap out the power supply

i bought a $20 cooling fan on amazon. haven't had an issue since.
Your console is dirty...get compressed air and clean it...Also, buy a cooling fan from Amazon and you'll NEVER have that issue again. You're welcome

I had already cleaned it and the issue was still happening.

If those steps don't help. You need to take it snd get it fixed. Prob needs.some thermal paste replaced.
I vacuumed mine and haven’t had any issues since. Just in time to spend my weekend getting caught up on hit stick challenges. Fml
It’s not an overheating issue. It’s a known issue with CFB/Madden every year at launch.
I once loaded up CFB 26, went straight into a challenge and my Xbox shut off being stone cold. EA is aware of the issue, but never say if and when they fix it. Something to do with a certain batch of Xboxes, and we are at the mercy of them fixing it. Some code somewhere. Mine was shutting off horribly a few weeks ago, but I could play MLB the Show for hours with no issue,
The update two Thursdays ago seems to have corrected mine, knock on wood.
