Blocked FGs?

I’ve had a couple of FGs blocked where for some reason the animation is really slow and my kicker winds up and takes forever and the kick gets blocked. Is this something my opponent is doing to cause it or just a thing that happens?

whenever they time it right the kicking will always go slow

Whenever my opponent times what right? His rush attempt? It seems like it’s the animation that is making it successful more than their timing.

Their timing causes the slow annimation. If you get the snap just right on defense it will cause the kicker to take a slow apprach and then timing the block is relatively easy.

But what exactly do they do to time it right? Just start running?

Im pretty sure you just have to click the right trigger (R2/RT) right as it’s snapped with the guy on the end of a FG block formation.

when they tap R2/RT just as you start your kick that will always give you the slow animation giving them time to block
