Does return matter, or is it just speed and acceleration
Does run and pass block matter, or is it just power and finesse
What does pursuit do, and does it matter
And does play recognition matter

awareness is useless.
return is useless.
passblock finesse counter finesse move for defense. pass block power counters power move. Runblock counters blockshed. theres a more calculated formula that takes their weight, strength and stats into consideration to determine superwin/win block shed animations but as a whole this is what they mean.
pursuit use to mean more in old gen madden as it helped defender go sideline to sideline. pursuit angles are so bad in this game i dont think it matters. Linebackers generally have higher pursuit than secondary players. When you think youre going to get the edge running the ball and get hawked down for a TFL thats pursuit kicking in

Everyone else doesnt matter. Look for height speed zone and man for your backers and secondary. Just remember, we all run different defenses and alot of players that work well for me wont work well for you.

It all matters just how much. While the end to end centurion does offer some good advice, unless someone knows how the game's engine computes each action in the game it is a guess at best. Remember it all comes down to a die roll and some attributes probably matter more than others. In a complex game with hundreds of calculations for each action to say it is "useless" is probably incorrect.

i dont think weight matters anymore either. Both my edges are 230 lb sams and they shed blocks and pass rush better than anyone ive had. They also have no traits

Exactly, I hide the fact that I play this game, and I work in the gaming industry. I have a real life and do real things, some folks do not. What they do not understand that you know how to be an adult, something which they have no concept of. I was put off by the comment of being top 100 end to end so do not debate me. Who cares what your ranking is (could be a lie) and the claim of expertise, which IMO is dead wrong because they obviously do not understand how video games work under the hood.

I agree with you dude. And the thing is you can take the top 100 in this game and in Madden and just toss out 3/4 (75%) of those guys because they’re just all cherry picking anyway. And they all say they’ve been playing 10+ years. I was playing ultimate team on NCAA 14 the amount of cheating that goes today never existed, if you tried anything like that, you just straight lost the game.
And as far as not playing online, doesn’t mean I never will again it just means it’s not a top priority. I just said my family was more important. I got a house payment too. Even with the extra money, it’s just better to save it right now. Doesn’t mean I’m broke.😂
