Two part answer, first part- they’re obviously only good at cheese that’s why they sit in the same bunch/trips te and stem their routes, it isn’t because they’re scheming actual concepts they’re just attacking poorly coded AI.
Second part is they’re not fully to blame, because that’s what is pushed out by “content creators” and “comp mut” just the lowest IQ form of football possible. And that’s what the reward structure is designed around.

depends on the cheese imo. sure, if they sit in a meta formation and hot route 3/5 routes to create a concept that beats every coverage. They still have to read the coverage and make the correct reads. Which to their credit is a skill. I don't think people that throw the ball 80% of the time and do it successfully are cheesy even if it's out of a meta formation. For that reason, I also think that people with the best oline and RB with shifty on them that run the ball 25x a game and start the game with chew clock on are not good, I don't think running is a skill.
If there is a glitchy run play or rpo (wildcat rpo early in the year) where you just hold left and then forward to run for 500+ yards per game, then yes, they are a cheesy loser that needs more hobbies.
at the end of the day people claim there is a "skill gap" I think it's much more of a knowledge gap at this point, of do you know the cheese and do you know how to stop it.
