Has anyone actually bought an upgraded one of these players? I can’t find their upgraded stats anywhere

Can anyone tell me if it’s confirmed these players will get upgrade? I’ve been looking for confirmation anywhere and can’t seem to find it. Currently I have all the 89’s, but I can quicksell them to get 60 trophies a pop, which would let me get one of the 88’s.

Only the 88 OVR players can be upgraded

"These player items can be earned by exchanging 60 Trophies for an 88 OVR BND Elite. Any of these players can be upgraded to a 94 OVR using the Season 3 escalation token from Level 51 of the Field Pass."

Your point is still invalid. That’s referring to the 88s not 89s. there has been ZERO info if we can upgrade or not. You’re assuming because 89 wasn’t mentioned that it wont happen. But that was there before we knew we were getting 89s. you have no proof. also, it says in-game that the token is used for “a Season 3 Player” ; no overall was specified

go look for the season 3 1st blog, it says the 88s will be upgradeable. Thats it. I wouldn't count on ea changing it up this far either so if you want 94s get the 88s cause ea aint doing more work then they need to and also if the did make them it would go against their no fun policy with this game.

Unfortunately this is what you can count on. The way EA’s content has worked over multiple ultimate teams there’s too many signs pointing to the 89s not being upgradable. No mention of upgrade on the 89s. I also don’t think they’re going to make 89s also 94, they tend to be more straightforward than that and no way in hell they make them 95s. Just a few cards supposedly “better“ than the 88s to use now.
