The Madden community widely regards the plus as being silent. If nothing else, M24 demonstrated that the gloves are off, EA's whole "make or break year" meant they were doubling down on the sheer greed. Pack odds felt as bad as they've ever been, with a few notable exceptions throughout the MUT24 cycle.
Play however you want, spend whatever you want (or don't), but it's typically best to just purchase the Platinum coin packs and the use those coins to buy whatever card you actually want from the AH. It's stupid expensive to pursue almost any other route, broadly speaking. Sure, someone is always going to be that lucky 1 in 100 schmuck, but it's rarely going to be either you or i.
Most of these pack odds would be straight up illegal in a casino, but unlike regular gambling, casino for literal kids remains unregulated. EA will continue to prey on all of us in the process.
