Who do you think should win the Heisman this season? Both of these teams have played a full 12-game regular season with Boise State finishing 11-1, having their only loss being to #1 Oregon by a last second field goal, and clinching the Mountain West championship as a home game. Colorado finished 9-3 and has some hope to reach the Big 12 championship but not much. Ashton Jeanty has 2,288 rushing yards which is 5th in FBS history and 28 TDs which is T-6th in FBS history. He has more rushing yards then all of the last 3 Heisman running backs and BSU still has at least 2 games left. Travis Hunter is the current favorite and he is the only player in 25 years to have multiple games with a TD and an interception. Who do you think should win the Heisman?
This is honestly a really tough decision this year. They are both doing things hardly anyone has ever done. Both are deserving.
I think Jeanty should win, but I think Travis will win.
My fear is that voters will give the benefit of doubt to a p5 player. There have been stats thrown out to discredit this as an advantage for Travis but the narrative is there. The other thing is the fact that Ashton has recent players to compare to, this may hurt him here. We haven't seen a 2 way player like Travis since Charles Woodson and his stats on offense are much better than Woodsons when he won it. So if you compare them Travis clearly outshines his comparisons (on offense) where Aston is just better than his.
To me Jeanty has survived a full 12 game slate and never had a true off day so I think he should win it. He is better than the most recent RB winners, His team is in position to make the playoffs. Travis is having a great year at WR but is down the list in stats, his team is fringe playoff contenders and (I do not expect him to give up 0 big plays) but has given up big plays on defense and not put up crazy numbers, all his defensive stats are below what Charles did. Granted he is a highlight reel waiting to happen but his stats are the debate.
Im happy it's not going to a QB this year.
Call me crazy, but between the two of them, I'd pick neither. Both have spent the whole year being force-fed and stat padding against bad teams.

What about Ashton Jeanty running for 192 yards and 3 TDs vs Oregon????

That's the lone exception, other than Oregon he's played a bunch of garbage MWC schools.
Jeanty deserves it. Trav overrated just for being 2-way and playing for Colorado. Deion gets too much hype
I saw a really good video showing how Jeanty has set out the whole second half there last game while travis hunter was stat padding in the 4th so I think it should be Jeanty

I think it's more that he has shown he can do it on the biggest stage while hunter really hasn't

I will say, after looking at numbers and stats more Jeanty is more deserving. Hunter plays both ways but he's only decent at corner, not great. I didn't realize that Jeanty doesn't play second halves very often, which makes his numbers crazier.

Overall Boise State had the number 13 strength of schedule so I wouldn’t really be talking much. Sure they did play Wyoming and Nevada but also Washington State and UNLV
