It sucks ass. Nerfed my whole recruiting season. I simmed to the first CFP poll and while my team did good, I’m a 90 ovr so I’d hope, my recruiting looked like a three year old did it. I had 2 5 stars that I was a clear favorite to recruit and a lot of 4 stars and it looked like I might top the recruiting charts if I did well, so I played the first three weeks and set the foundation and listed all the recruits on the board in the order I wanted them, and was super close to closing the deal on 5-6 recruits. All the CPU had to do was keep me in the lead and just stay with what I was doing. And I get out of the sim and I have 0 recruits, the highest recruit on my board is a 4 star QB which I don’t need cause I got a 5 star last year, and a FS who’d already verbally comitted to a another school. Everyone else was 3 or 2 stars. I had also lost the lead on basically every recruit I had tried to get and basically was on square one while other teams already had 10-15 guys signed and more lined up. And when I got into looking where the hours went they were in pitches that didn’t match what the recruit wanted at all. So all this to say, don’t ever fucking use this useless slider, just sim every week by yourself one by one unless you want this shitshow to happen to you
Is there anyway to go back and fix this? I didnt think so but I would so want to be able to
The only "fix" I've found is to save often along the way. If you have an older save, you can reset to that earlier point in the season.
And you're right that it's terrible. When using Team Builder, your team will have no program history. So, the sim thinks nobody wants to go to your school. It'll start at three-star recruits and eventually drop to two- and even one-star recruits. Even worse, some of them will be races you can't win. So, it's just throwing away your precious recruiting hours for no reason.
I started the other thread, but there's a quick fix for this. Sort by ranking or star rating. Find the players with zero or one scholarship offers who still list as open. They're being lightly recruited. Go HARD on them, and you'll snag some clear leads on top 250 players.
Using this method, I wound up with a top 15 class during my first Team Builder season despite all the auto recruiting nightmares of the first eight weeks.

Thanks, I’ll try it
