Last night was the first "Play a Pro" for CFB 27 hosted by the folks over at Huddle.gg. "Play a Pro" is a weekly event that gives community members the chance to play against some of Madden's top players, win prizes, giveaways, and Twitch Drops for CUT 27. The event is streamed on Twitch and is open to all participants.
"Play a Pro" has been going for a few months now over on MUT and has featured guest pros such as VA Dimes and GoatGeezy alongside the Huddle.gg pros. To level the playing field, the Pro spins a wheel of equalizers. Equalizers can be that the pro must have a QB run before scoring, must kick a FG after passing the 50-yard line, must play with a military school + playbook, and so much more. The first player to beat the pro wins that week's prize, and if no one beats the pro in 3, the prize will go to a random viewer in chat.
Check out more details and a recap of last night's stream below:
When and Where
When: Every Tuesday @ 8 PM ET
Where: Huddle.gg on Twitch.tv
Twitch Drops
EA provides drops on most Tuesday Huddle streams. Currently, you can earn up to 3 CUT Twitch Tokens:
- 30 Minutes | x1 CFB Twitch Pack
- 60 Minutes | x1 CFB Twitch Pack
- 90 Minutes | x1 CFB Twitch Pack
Weekly Prize
Typically, the weekly prize would be a BND non-LTD/non-Ranked player item of the winner's choosing. However, yesterday's prize was a $100 Gift Card. If none of the contestants win, viewers in Twitch chat are entered into a drawing, and one lucky winner will get the prize.
How to Participate
All you need to do is show up to the stream and post in chat before each game's opponent is randomly selected by Nightbot. You will need to share your EA ID with the pro in order for them to invite you to a game.
Wheel of Equalizers
Equalizers are spun before each game and stack as the Pro plays each game. Game one will be one equalizer. In game two, the pro spins another equalizer to add onto the first, and the same is done for game three. The Pro does have the option to not take the first equalizer spun for the round, but then they must spin the wheel twice. Here are some equalizer examples:
- Must punt on 3rd down
- Military Team/Playbook
- Must lateral during the drive before scoring
- Can only rush 2

This Week's Recap
Game One
PIHCAM's first opponent in game one was K1ngGamer99, and the equalizer was that PIHCAM's opponent chose his team for him. So if his opponent wanted to play a Tier 2 team, he chose the Tier 2 team that PIHCAM must play as well. Interestingly, though, K1ngGamer chose to play as Texas, a Tier 1 team, and picked Alabama for PIHCAM. It was a very close game throughout, including a 3rd-quarter QB scramble by PIHCAM for a TD that went back about 15 yards at first! Check out the clip HERE. PIHCAM would take the lead 24-20 with 16 seconds left in the game, and would seal the game by picking off K1ng's Hail Mary attempt.
Game Two
PIHCAM's game two equalizer luck was terrible when facing off against EasyFaded. He rolled that he must play with a Military Team + playbook. As this conflicted with the first equalizer, he had to roll two additional equalizers: No TD until a QB Run, and Mrs. PIHCAM plays a drive.
The matchup would be Army vs Ohio State and would be an eventful one with EasyFaded opening the game with an onside kick recovery off of a fumble. The game would feature a kickoff return TD, another onside kick recovery by EasyFaded and a pick-six. The combination of the three equalizers and terrible fumble luck would put PIHCAM going into the 2nd half 14-35. Unable to get the onside kick recovery, PIHCAM lost the match due to the mercy rule. Meaning EasyFaded won this week's prize.

Do you have any equalizers you'd like to see make it to the wheel?
