What Are Strategy Cards and Why Do They Matter?
Strategy cards in College Football 26 Ultimate Team are team-based boosts that automatically enhance specific player attributes when you equip a school’s card. Certain in-game attributes receive a bonus that can influence everything from blocking and throwing accuracy to tackling and zone coverage.
Every college football team in CUT has its own unique combination of attribute boosts, typically a +2 boost to one stat and a +1 to another. While these might seem minor, they can stack with other upgrades and abilities to give your team an edge.
Whether you’re building around your favorite team or trying to squeeze every bit of performance from your roster, knowing each school’s boost can help you game the system.

How to Pick the Right Strategy Card for Your Play Style
The best strategy card for you depends on how you play:
- Heavy Passers might lean toward teams like Alabama or Washington, which boost throw accuracy and under-pressure performance.
- Run-First Offenses should look for strength, impact blocking, or break tackle boosts. Georgia Southern and Michigan stand out.
- Defensive Minded Players benefit from boosts to zone coverage, hit power, and pursuit. Teams like Iowa, Texas A&M, or Wisconsin are solid picks.
Ultimately, experiment and adjust based on your scheme and personnel. A +2 in the right spot can make all the difference!
My Current Strategy Card
Right now, I’m rocking with Texas Tech. The name of the game is speed for me, so I’m always looking for any speed advantage I can find. Texas Tech’s +2 to Change of Direction and +1 to Acceleration is a game changer in my eyes.
