One of the first decisions every player will make as College Ultimate Team 27 enters early access this week is which defensive playbook to use. While most defensive playbooks in CUT match their school's playbook in Road to Glory and other standard game modes, a handful of teams use a different playbook in CUT.
There are 31 unique defensive playbooks in CUT 27, with each team assigned to one of them. Each defensive playbook also provides +25 toward one of the seven available Scheme Chemistries.
One important detail is that a playbook item only displays its Scheme Chemistry on the front of the card, not the specific playbook variation. For example, a playbook with the 4-2-5 Scheme Chemistry could actually be the standard 4-2-5 playbook, 4-2-5 Man, 4-2-5 Man Pressure, 4-2-5 Shell, 4-2-5 Zone, or 4-2-5 Zone Pressure. To make it easier to identify which variation each team uses, we've compiled the complete list below.
