EVOs made their in-game arrival a couple of days ago and bring the ability to upgrade and customize your favorite players. We've currently received EVOs for the Supercharged program and the Program Pillar EVO. The Program Pillar EVO will continue to update throughout the year so you can keep your favorite player up to date. There's a lot that goes into the EVO system, so we've answered some common questions below.
We should expect more EVOs and time-limited program EVOs as the year progresses.
Where do I find EVOs?
The EVOs menu can be accessed through either the Marketplace or the My Team tab in Evolutions.

Can I swap the player my EVO is equipped on?
Unlike MUT, it seems that the EVOs in CUT will not be able to be swapped. None of the current EVOs available to us can be swapped, and all in-game messaging about EVOs says that EVOs won't be able to be swapped. This includes the Program Pillar EVO, so make sure to choose carefully.

Who can I apply my EVOs to?
When looking at an EVO in the shop, if you use the right stick, you’ll see the information tab of the EVO. This will tell you which cards can equip that EVO. If you have any players who can equip the EVO, they’ll also appear on the right-hand side of your screen under Available Players.
However, the information tab seems to be incorrect at the moment. For example, the Program Pillar EVO info tab and previous EVO announcements stated it was for Core cards. However, when you take a look at the cards in the Available Players section, cards 84 OVR and under from various programs appear here.
EVOs that upgrade the max OVR cap will require players that are under the OVR it boosts to. For example, the Program Pillar EVO boosts the max OVR of an item to 85 OVR. The EVO can only be equipped on players with OVR 84 and lower.

What kind of EVOs are there?
There are multiple kinds of EVOs with different effects. Max OVR Boosts, Archetype changes, additional ability buckets, and, according to the title update notes, we can expect chemistry EVOs.
Currently in the shop are nine EVOs
- Program Pillar EVO
- Increase max OVR of an item to 85 OVR, adds two ability buckets (-2 AP Bronze), and continues to upgrade through the year

- Cost: 50 Points each
*83 OVR Upgrades for WR, CB, HB, and MIKE are for Core cards only.
Can I preview the effects of an EVO?
Yes, when selecting a Player to apply an EVO onto, the effects of the EVO can be seen. Not only that, but if you press Triangle/Y, you’ll see exactly what the EVO is adding. The upgrade paths, ability buckets (can’t actually view what abilities are in them though), SP objectives, and exchanges the EVO adds will have a green dot or green plus next to them.
Once a player has an EVO applied to them, they’ll appear under the “Active” tab in Evolutions. Here you can see all players with EVOs on them, and can quickly access their upgrade menus.

What is "chaining" EVOs?
Chaining an EVO is the process of adding multiple EVOs to a single player item. This allows you to customize and upgrade your favorite players to keep them viable throughout the year. While we currently have chainable EVOs, as far as I know, our current options don't work together.
How do I know which EVOs can be chained?
EVOs that have the green chain symbol on the card art can be chained with other EVOs. Additionally, when you go to apply the EVO on a player item, you'll receive a message stating if the EVO can be removed and if it can be chained with other EVOs.

How do the upgrade paths work on the Program Pillar?
When the Program Pillar EVO is applied to an item, it'll receive upgrade paths for each of the archetypes available to its position. You can upgrade through one path or choose upgrades from multiple paths. This is speculation on my part but it seems that once an archetype path reaches 85 OVR, you can still upgrade the other paths, so long as the upgrade for a different path won't cause the already maxed-out path to increase in OVR.
