The official College Football 26 trailer was revealed today and can be found at the top of this article or on the EA Sports College YouTube channel, which can be found here. They also released the first Campus Huddle blog, covering a ton of new features we can look forward to in the upcoming game. This year's game is set to officially release worldwide on July 10th, or if you pre-order it, you will receive three days of early access starting on July 7th. Gameplay
Foundational Advancements
There are multiple gameplay advancements that will be featured in this year's game on both sides of the ball. On offense, you can look forward to improved offensive line blocking, which will reward players who are skilled between the tackles. On the defensive side of the ball, we have numerous changes to look forward to. Features such as a new physics-based tackling system, hit stick enhancements, the ability to optimize your pass rush with D-Line stunts, and a new custom zones feature that will allow you to dial in your pass coverage at the line of scrimmage. New abilities and archetypes will fully allow you to encompass different play styles.
Over 300 Real World Coaches and 2,800+ New Plays
Over 300 real College Football coaches are now officially going to be in the game, with names such as Kirby Smart and Ryan Day that you will now be able to play as or against. This will allow for numerous different playstyles and unique playbooks, which will provide the most authentic experience possible. There are also going to be over 2,800 new plays and schemes to choose from.
Enhanced Stadium Pulse
This year's game will have more enhanced Stadium Pulse effects, with features like clock distortion, more intense camera shake, and new heads-up display visuals. Don't worry, though, even if you find yourself on the road going against these new features, you will be able to counteract the environment by using your confidence and composure.
Presentation
Next Level Gameday
Experience unique gameplay depending on where you play, based on your school's traditions, sights, and sounds. Feel the energy of each stadium with 160 new chants, mascots, and band music.
Additionally, drumlines will no longer be featured in the menu, and they will be replaced by school fight songs and marching band covers of popular songs.
Broadcast and Commentary
The College Football 26 commentary team will feature Kirk Herbstreit, Chris Fowler, Jesse Palmer, David Pollack, Desmond Howard, and Rece Davis. Experience new dynamic commentary that adapts to your team's Dynasty or your player's Road to Glory as you progress.
Trophy Room
Thanks to the communities feedback, Trophy Room will be returning! There will be multiple different ways for you to earn trophies and show off your success:
- Coach and manage your program in Dynasty.
- Focus on your journey as a college football legend in Road to Glory
- Dominate online in the Road to the College Football Playoffs
- Compete in classic rivalry games in Play Now.
Game Modes
Dynasty
Get ready to experience one of the most immersive Dynasties of all time with College Football 26 Dynasty mode. Personnel management will be more critical than ever as it can give you a recruiting edge with new location-based visits. Prepare to navigate through the thousands of players on the transfer portal and make important decisions to cement your legacy. Try to retain your favorite players by managing the new Dynamic Deal Breakers and Traits.
Also, Online Dynasty Cross-Play is finally here! Build up to a 32-team Online Dynasty across Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Cross-Play will be enabled by default, but can be disabled if it's not something you're interested in.
Road to Glory
Get ready to start your Road to Glory career in High School under the Friday Night Lights as you embark on the ultimate student-athlete journey. Choose from 10 different archetypes and work your way from High School, all the way up to Heisman winner. Attempt to earn an offer from your school of choice by putting together the ultimate highlight tape and prepare to make your decision at the famous Hat Ceremony. Earn coach trust and build team chemistry as you work your way through the recruiting process. You can commit as early as you'd like, and if a better opportunity arises, you can enter the transfer portal.
Navigate through your career as a student-athlete and work towards Madden 26 Superstar mode. Once you finish your Road to Glory career, you can enter the NFL Draft to see which team calls your name.
Team Builder
Experience even more control over your team and legacy with new Team Builder features that will allow you to explore enhanced roster editing options and refine your team's details. Don't worry, you will be able to import your favorite created teams from College Football 25 with no problem.
