Are you looking to improve your CUT squad while saving some coins? If so, it’s a great time to do so and this article can help get you on the right track. There has been a ton of content being added to the game lately, which is causing some great players to sell for very cheap prices. Today, I will be giving you my opinion on the best budget players you can pick up for your team right now.
Keep in mind I am writing this article on Thursday, February 27th, so prices will continue to change for these players as more content is released.
Check out all of my favorite budget players below:
Budget Players
Offense
*All price estimates are reflective of the Xbox market and come from the cfb.fan database. Prices will fluctuate over time.
95 Jordan McCloud | QB | Texas St. | Veer & Shoot
Estimated Price: ~55,100 Coins
If you’re looking for a great budget QB, then McCloud is one of the best options possible in my opinion. For a budget option, he is very well rounded. He’s able to scramble and make plays when needed, but also is great at just standing in the pocket and delivering accurate throws down field. The one small downside to McCloud is that he does not have the Throws Tight Spiral trait, but regardless he is still a great QB for his price. (93 SPD, 93 THP, 94 SAC, 95 MAC, 92 DAC)

95 Quinshon Judkins | HB | Ohio St. | Spread
Estimated Price: ~70,500 Coins
Judkins is one of only two 95 OVR HBs to have at least 96 SPD, with the other being Reggie Bush who is still going for over 200,000 coins. The next cheapest HB with 96 SPD is around 25K coins more expensive than Judkins. On top of his great SPD, he also has great BTK and TRK attributes as well with 94 BTK and 96 TRK. (96 SPD, 95 ACC, 95 CAR, 94 COD)

96 Nick Marsh | WR | Michigan St. | Run & Shoot
Estimated Price: ~67,000 Coins
This is an excellent option at WR if you are on a budget. Not only does Marsh have good SPD and ACC attributes at 96 and 95, but he also is 6’3 which makes him much more likely to come down with those jump balls. If you like to throw it deep, he also has great DRR at 96. (96 SPD, 96 CTH, 90 SRR, 93 MRR, 96 DRR)

93 Tanner Koziol | TE | Ball St. | Pro Style
Estimated Price: ~20,100 Coins
Despite only being a 93 OVR, this guy is a great value TE. He has great SPD and route running attributes for only being a 93 OVR, with 93 SPD, 90 SRR, and 93 MRR. To go along with his SPD and route running, he is also a massive 6’7! The only downside to Koziol is that he has very low RBK attribute at only 65. (93 SPD, 93 CTH, 90 SRR, 93 MRR)

Defense
95 Julius Peppers | RE | North Carolina | 4-3
Estimated Price: ~35,400 Coins
Peppers is still one of the most dominant pass rushers in the game currently despite being a bit outdated. He is very well rounded with decent SPD and great BSH, PMV, and FMV attributes. He is also an absolute beast, coming in at 6’7, 295 pounds. Due to his massive size and good attributes, he really doesn’t have much trouble putting pressure on the QB. He also has gold quick jump as a baked-in ability, which is one of the best abilities in the game for a defensive lineman. (90 SPD, 97 BSH, 92 PMV, 90 FMV)

94 Bryce Ganious | DT | Wake Forest | 4-2-5
Estimated Price: ~27,200 Coins
If you’re looking to upgrade your defensive line on a budget, this is the guy for you. He has enough SPD to get the job done to go along with good ACC, TAK, and PMV attributes as well. Where Ganious really stands out is with his impressive BSH and FMV attributes, which both come in at a 95. There are no other 94 OVR and very 95 OVR players with that good of BSH and FMV attributes. (92 SPD, 93 TAK, 90 PMV, 95 FMV)

95 Carson Schwesinger | MLB | UCLA | 3-4 Multiple
Estimated Price: ~48,400 Coins
He is everything you could ask for in an MLB and in my opinion is one of the best budget options in the whole game. He is very balanced overall with great ACC, TAK, and ZCV, which are some of the most important stats for a MLB. He is also the fastest 95 OVR LB in the game with 94 SPD. On top of all those great attributes, he also still has good enough COD, so if you’d like to play with him as your user that’s still very possible. (94 SPD, 94 ACC, 95 TAK, 95 ZCV, 90 COD)

95 Patrick Peterson | CB | LSU | 4-3
Estimated Price: ~46,400 Coins
Are you looking to add a great defender to your secondary? Well, look no farther as Patrick Peterson is a great CB that you can add to your squad for cheap. He is the only 95 OVR CB in the whole game with at least 96 SPD, which of course is a very important attribute for a CB. The next cheapest CB with 96 SPD is going for almost double the price of Peterson at around 84K coins. He also has good ZCV and MCV stats to go along with his great SPD. (96 SPD, 95 ACC, 95 MCV, 93 ZCV)

96 Josiah Cox | SS | New Mexico St. | 4-3
Estimated Price: ~70,000 Coins
This card is a bit on the higher side of what most people would consider a budget player, but with how the current SS market is, he was just too good to not add to this list. Cox is one of the most well-rounded safeties in the game with great SPD, MCV, ZCV, and COD. He is also above average height at 6’2, which makes it even easier for him to lock down the middle of the field. (96 SPD, 94 ACC, 93 MCV, 94 ZCV)

What budget players would you add to this list?
