What offensive abilities are best when using the army playbook? I like to run options obviously.
Idk how well they work but option guard might be worth a try in army's book with the under center options
i would say anything that slows down wear and tear impact. and maybe some rb abilitys
this is a good question. I would imagine this type of offense would be Oline ability heavy. you can get really good with your rbs even without abilities, but since you will be under center, a lot double mug type blitzes will cause havoc if your line cant consistently hold blocks. that said I only use run and shoot offense. haven't tried any others but this topic makes me want to try and see what a good ability build would look like for the triple option. if I fine myself trying ill report back with any findings that may be useful.
Great question.
Looking for answers myself.
Army playbook looks fun.
Multiple O playbook is what I'm using to build an option offense.
Wishbone and I form triple option is what I'm shooting for.
It will be interesting to see how on option game will hold up in h2h as we move foward.
"Option King" on QB has made a positive difference for me.
I'm a below avg. User with a really good team.
Running speed option has helped me counter Man coverage.
Weather you run speed option, veer, or triple option I'd suggest putting Option King on your QB.
The pitch can be a little inconsistent but with each update it gets a little bit smoother.
May end up losing some games on a bad pitch but it is FUN to run.
Middle of your line is important. I put Option Shield on my guards (I haven't tried to put it on all linemen yet, but that's an option...maybe I'll do that next time I play). Center either Strong Grip or Second Level. Tackles either Strong Grip or Inside/Outside Shield. I like Strong Grip...it does pretty well for me.
QB/RB abilities aren't a biggie IMO. I haven't used Option King at all and as long as you know how to run the option (when and when not to pitch), you won't really need it. A bad pitch still happens here and there, but that's been user error for the most part.
As far as running backs, the B back (think FB...and here's a tip: put a HB at FB if you're running the flex. A good Power Back works nice. Having 3 good RB's is a necessity (four even better...3 HBs then one HB at FB1 (and maybe even FB2 if you want) for this offense). Anyways, the B back should be your main back. If you want you can put the Wear and Tear ability on him, or Recoup maybe.

Thank you for the advice brother.
Glad you brought up the Online abilities, was thinking about trying a few.
"Strong Grip" is an ability that caught my eye, looking forward to testing it out.
You also made a great point about putting a power back at FB.
Next game I'm going to put Toby at FB in wishbone.
You are Right about USER ERROR, 80% of my option fumbles are bad reads on my part.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge,
