I got this game because I figured Madden would a wasteland without players. Now, I sit here, can’t get a squads game, not a fan of college (just wanted better game play and presentation), and now I’m doubting if I made the right call. Ultimate team has 90 overalls out on day freaking 2!
As far as not being able to get a squads game right now, remember the game doesn't officially launch for a couple more days. A lot of people who started playing it early used the EA Play 10 hour trial and likely have had it run out by now, and they don't want to pay the $90 for Deluxe or $140 for the MVP edition just to have the game a couple of days early.
Not being a fan of college ball is not the games fault (obviously), but what can you do. I am not a huge fan of it personally, but actually have enjoyed my first 9-10 hours in this one so far.
90s in ultimate team this early - yea I get that, they aren't amazing 90s though if you look at their actual stats. Also there's only a few of them so far. Madden usually has some pretty high core set elites starting out, and they quickly spam out 87+s with TOTW etc as well. I wouldn't fault the game for that, they are just whale chasing right now.
The F2P approach in this feels a lot better than Madden to me as well. The solo seasons are really good for grinding out coins / rewards on the field pass.
