Just played a game where my QB couldn't get half a step back before he was sacked. I tried sliding the line, blocking HBs, untargeting, mikeing up the defender who was doing it, Base protection, empty protection, everything I know about or heard about.. I just quit after the 2nd quarter. That is just lame football. Any ideas on how to stop this? I can see why some of these guys are 290-4 in H2H when they use this garbage. Now when I see these type of records I just assume they are glitchy cheaters. This was known as the DT slide cheat in Tecmo Bowl back in the day.

Have you tried using "empty" as your pass pro base? ETA... nm just seen it the middle.

Yes I did. I think whatever he was doing was the cheat code for under center attacks which my offense mostly is. Shotgun sets it didn't seem to work in. If I come across it again I'll just have to abandon all the I, Power I, Maryland I, and 'Bone' sets...or just quit out LOL It was pretty annoying though.

Was he riding his user behind thre DT? Any idea what formation he was using?

No believe it or not, I usually just untarget the LBer in that case. This was the DT just coming in every time untouched. I wish I would have thought of recording it.
Yeah when I go up against someone like this i'd rather just bail and find another match.
This is why I havn't gone back into ranked once I hit champion 1. Too many games aren't enjoyable to play.

That's good advice. Its frustrating because you can get into some really fun games and then you'll hit like 3-4 in a row where its people doing really toxic garbage. I'm the same if they want the win at making the game stupid I just give it to them.
Yeah, and then you get the advice "get better at the game"
Yeah maybe, or, they could try to find ways to fix these glitches
The amount of opponents I played that just came out in goal line, and would just try to get the HB outside to speed run. Its like you said, more about getting the cheap W then actually playing the game "ethically"
One thing I've been hopeful for is that the AI would learn to recognize if the same play is being run over and over with the same route combos, and react better to say corner routes or comebacks. All the RPO flat plays where the CPU teammates play it the same way, and unless I user the Edge and drop out to cover, its an easy 10 yards every time.
I swear the ability is there, like playing the CPU in tower of valor, their defenders react 10x better then my CPU teammates, so I believe it's in there somewhere
Under center blocking seems to be terrible against certain formations when they send 6 or 7. I have used sets blocking extra TEs and HB/FB to keep equal or greater numbers and still the line allows someone to bounce through too regularly. Against those that show this ability, I just bail to SG sets.
While I get the animosity for the player, I blame the game. The blocking works reasonably well for SG sets (still room for improvement), so I know they can make it work equally well under center. EA just needs to step up.
Another improvement EA should make is having the ability to block players for every normal run play. I get read options or other RPOs might make someone unique, but for normal runs, certain plays prevent you from blocking a specific player...so it guarantees a hit in the backfield. There should never be a case for normal runs where you cannot force someone to block a particular player.
Great replies and I agree with both you and thats why i love this place always useful information and things to think about. My guy UTLonghorns is always coaching me up some of the 'glitchery' things people do. A lot of it is my fault trying to run Option playbook as it is limited in the passing game. But to quote Captain Spaulding, 'it's just soooo damn goooooood' LMAO

This type of shit is why EA needs a report process for exploiting. Obviously they know they cheating and exploiting the coding when they run glitch bs every play. Worse part about it these are the same pathetic losers who talk like they have any skill at the game.

It’s actually amazing how well the cpu plays vs your cpu in h2h. Something can definitely be done to improve that in order to stop the gun bunch bummery
