This is silly imo. At most it should’ve been conference or every team each player has been with throughout his career.
Huge W Boise State TT gonna be awesome

TTs won’t really be real TTs until more players drop throughout the year

True but at least the boosts will still be there

I agree, never really liked how in MUT a player who never played for the actual team received all team chems . I understand a set master here and there but don't really like the idea that every player gets all chems. But then again I plan most of my time on going to Dynasty and Road to Glory.
It’s a possible way to balance smaller teams, as a guy who’s a MAC fan. I think scheme chemistry’s will end up being more important, not sure
It's good since they don't seen to put effort to keep teams balanced and some teams would be very difficult to balance either way. I've always felt they should just do away with theme teams in madden altogether but I don't mind this approach where you can play with whoever and still rep your theme team as the year goes on. It's ultimate team after all.

i’m super happy about it cause some of my favorite players ever (tim tebow, brock bowers, peyton manning) never played for my buckeyes. But now I can build the super buckeyes and thats gonna be super fun

Lv Raider fan, also a []___[] Hurricane fan. So just may have to scoop Brock bowers since they hoe'd him on the rookie premiere card. Stoked for college football to be back. I grew up on both college football and college basketball, as well as the absolute classic years of nba live.

I agree with the conference idea but my guess is that they considered it too difficult. I'll give you two examples. Eric Dickerson went to SMU when it was in the SWC. Which conference does he belong in? SWC's lineage would say Big 12. SMU was in Conference USA after being one of the teams left out of the Big 12 and SEC. Now they are in the AAC which has the football lineage of the Big East.
The other example is Miami. They are independent in the 80s, Big East in the 90s, and now are in the ACC. So how do conference chems play into a Miami TT? Irvin, Lewis, and players today would have 3 different conference chems making TT nearly impossible. You could give them dual chems (conference played in & current team conference) but then you have to worry about coding bugs.
I'm glad they just opened up the chems. If you want to build your CUT team full of guys from your favorite NFL team at your school this makes it possible. Looking at how they handled RP this year (and having Madden in a CF25 bundle), I think they're resigned to the fact that they aren't going to have many people buying the standalone next gen version of Madden.

i’ve never played a CFB game but i’m excited. Just not sure whether to get it at release or when it goes on sale later in the year
I love it because its going to make having a ”tt” 1000x easier
I’m fine with it but actual players who played for the team should get 2X chem. The blueblood programs are going t get all of the legends and in season upgrades and that would just piss off everyone if there theme teams were at a huge disadvantage. It was the only way to balance over 100 teams.

Yeah it would definitely be nice to see a bonus for running players on a TT they actually played for. But yeah it would be impossible to give 134 teams upgrades if content drops are similar in size to mut
I think it's fine I heard voices saying it's a bad idea but then again Imagine having a UL Layfette team and it's not possible to take it out to the ultimate team streets cause it just can't compete I say I'm all for it.
