Learning how to switch stick helps your defense so much it’s crazy. I went from getting bombed to baiting and getting pick 6s

The key to switching is that every play just switch onto a random player and cover somebody else. It’s a risky gsm but with high reward. Especially is your opponent is just running post and crosses switch to the outside corner and intercept it

Ok I have a serious question about switch sticking I'm hoping the community can answer. I still play "old school" where I start out using a D Lineman then when a pass gets thrown I just hit circle on PS5 and it puts me closest to the receiver. Can someone explain to me how switch sticking gives an advantage over the "old school" method? When I try just randomly switch sticking I actually end up blowing coverage and giving up yards. Any help would be great. Thanks. ✌️

It's to stop difficult routes like corners or posts from beating you, because those routes naturally get over zones. So if your opponent spams those routes, it's beneficial to switch to your flat defender for the corner or the hook defender for the post. The advantage is taking those reads away from your opponent so they have less options to win.

You can actually use the d pad to switch when your on the D lineman to switch to the flat or hook defenders and take away those routes.

The old school method only helps you when the ball is in the air, switch stick is before the throw to move defenders in better position to make plays, old school is all AI defenders; so a lot of people love switch stick for more control with their defense.

Ok, gotcha. I'm definitely gonna need some practice with it. Lol.
