so correct me if i’m wrong. 3-3-5 should be 1 DT, both edge rushers, mlb, sam and will then 5 dbs/safeties. every 3-3-5 playbook i have tried is 3 DT’s edge rushers and 1 MLB. my sam and will never see the day of light. are there any playbooks or something im doing wrong that i can get them on the field? i pulled ltd kyle louis today and i want to see him play.
3-3-5 is 2 DTs, and one NT. The three LBs are the two Edge and the MLB. Yes some of your D-players never see the field in some packages. Players after your #1 MLB never see the field . I run a lot of 3-4 Tite which gets the Wil and MLB on the field. Some plays in the 3-3-5 Split or Over Flex have 4 on the line and then your Wil LB is in the lineup. Make sure you have Louis as SubLB #1, so he gets in on Nickle and Dime packages. You can also switch in in-game if you are prioritizing have 50/50 chem in your line up. The problem is how the line up and how the chems work. The line up are built for every type pf offense/defense and that does not work with all playbooks. I run the Oregon State offense, and the only package that uses a FB is the goal line set, yet I need two in my line up, and untl the NYE promo the game only had one Multi-O FB. The line ups need to allow players to swap out positions such as a HB for a FB, a Wil for a SAM as long as the chemistry is the same.
awesome, thanks for the info. i’m pretty sure last year and i know the years before in madden when i ran 3-3-3-5 it was one dt, 2 edge on the line and then my olb’s for most sets. i will take your advice and make sure he sub lb.
Nickel 3-3 Stack puts the Sub LB at the MLB/User position. The "Cover 3 Drop" play specifically

It sucks that they did this but it’s been that way all year. Best way to go about it is to sub in players you want where you want them. 3-4 is the worst because it’s set up like a 5-2. I run a lot of nickel and put Kyle Louise as Rush Edge but move things around all game. It’s a pain tbh. I only run 3-3-5 because of UGA chems but I’m about to make a change. I’ve got better LBs than most position players for that scheme and they are just sitting around.
Question. I've got Holmes (dt1) and Donald (dt2). I've also got them as my NT 1 and 2. Should I fix this? I've got overton and Kamara on the edge.
