How do I give a defender an assignment without switching to them? (Pre-snap)

I am on PS5 so if you can describe it in those terms that would be amazing. This year is my first time playing CUT a lot so I am kind of a noob. I see streamers switch their Free Saftey to a man on man assignment while they are usering their Linebacker. This would help me a ton because I try to do a lot before the ball is snapped but fail most of the time. So if someone can kind of describe this in PS5 terms it would be great. Thanks!

Going from memory, so I may be wrong:

Triangle, triangle (maybe X), button of player you want to change assignment, button/stick direction of whatever new assignment.

You press whichever group you want to edit (triangle for secondary, left dpad for d line, right dpad for Lb’s) then press triangle again for individual, after that you should see buttons for certain players in that group, select which player and you should be able to change their assignment
