They really hate this game because why is there only 2 SOTW players each week only 3 89s, should at least be double that. So many players could get cards and positions that are in need. Crazy how much this game has changed since last year
EA is lazy as shit. A&M is 7-0 for the first time since 1994 and there's very few players in the game from now or from any point in history. Why so few players in the game?!
Whatever dev group decided to give Michael Sam as an LTD told us all we need to know about what to expect the rest of the year. Call me a dickhead if you want but that perfectly encapsulates what’s gone on in cut.

You're not wrong. I know his name for one reason and one reason only, and literally it's not for his skill. We definitely want skill position players - Johnny Football, Mike Evans, Denard Robinson, Robert Griffin, Tim Tebow, Devonta Smith... I could go on and on. How many of them are in the game, or are relevant? Manziel has what, an 86 LTD. Player selection is atrocious.

Exactly. We get players that nobody wants aside from a few here and there- even alumni this season have mostly been trash. 9 million D Tackles and dupes of guys 1 ovr and 2 weeks apart. It’s purposeful
Yeah, I agree that programs could definitely use more players in each one. I mean, over in MUT Most Feared vol. 2 just got 29 players I think. The most we'll really get here is 20. The weekly season refresh also feels like a waste of a day, only 2 players for most releases, except when we get more trophy shop players.

And those cards aren’t even affordable unless they’re ass- and then what do we look like spending 400K on a trash card lol. Especially when the game was marketed as “more content and more legends” and then we get shafted- MUT has Taylor Mays , dude sucked in the league lmao
I'm just waiting for the frickin ty Simpson card. It's ridiculous how Stockton gets one over him

Sam was great in college. 2013 SEC defensive player of the year and 1st team all SEC. Yes, he wasn't good after college, but to claim he was only given a card because of his personal life is completely false.
CUT should be used to give guys like Sam, Manziel, Denard, Bosworth, etc good cards since college football is what they're known for. I'm fine with guys like Megatron, Vick, Evans, etc. getting cards as well, but they also actively get featured in MUT so I'd prefer they stick to more unknown/bust pro players for the CUT side of things. Of course, that's just my opinion.

That's fair. That is exactly my take too so I have to admit my knowledge of him is as a failed NFL player (no different than Manziel). I don't know anything about his college career so I guess I can't knowledgeably comment.

Yeah, everyone always talks about how good he was! How he’s a fan favorite and how dominant that 2013 year was, they definitely gave him a card based on community feedback lol
Edit: this is probably sensitive for some
People so I want to be clear that I don’t mean anything personal or mean spirited by it- just that the overall point is that he was chosen either by a dev specifically because they wanted him, or by a dev specifically to troll the community, but in no case was he chosen as a card that the community would want to chase after, and they know that. So they are either intentionally giving us trash (not him specifically, he’s just the easiest example aside from the repeats of Zachman/Sarratt- I’m speaking the cards and content in general), or they are so lost/personally invested in their own content theme team whatever desires, that we can expect to get trash/repeats of everything throughout the year.

To play devil's advocate Michael Sam was SEC defensive player of the year and led the SEC in sacks and TFL so him having a card isn't something crazy but I wouldn't remember his name if it weren't for his off the field life. I am still very salty about when my teams WR had the best receiving performance of the year of anyone yet in a rivalry game no less and he got an 88 hero card when we were at 90s. Eli Heidenreich of Navy got no card at all after his amazing performance so they definitely aren't staying true to SOTW and are dropping random cards that are good player but had better players with better stats and performances to give cards to instead.

We have Manziel and Bennett but Myles Garrett, Von Miller, Mike Evans, Lester Hayes, Dat Nguyen,Ryan Tannehill even a good lineman like Luke Joeckel would be well deserved.

Not sure how true it is, but I heard that the Military academies aren't allowed to be used to try and sell packs. I believe that's why last year when we got the Air Force and Navy fullbacks that could be upgraded and the Army safety, they were all given away as free cards that you could earn or were just given for logging in.
That doesn't excuse him not getting a card at all though. As well as he played for Navy in that game, they couldv'e given him a special H2H reward card or something.

I mean, Marcell Reed is in the game (as an 81!!) So it's not like there's no one, but with how few there are, I really expected Cashius, Marcell, Craver, or Concepcion to appear in the Nightmares program. But no.
And man, I'd love Ryan Swope, Tannehill, or even Steven McGee to appear in the game, but I'm not getting any hopes up.
