If I get to champion I is that all I need to do to get the card that's one tier under the top 100 card?hoping I don't have to keep playing lol.

pretty sure you will have to still be in that tier once ranked ends, so just track that your still in that tier as the days go and play a few games so you arent passed up in the tier.

I currently have 3,223 points. Is that enough to stop playing and still meet the threshold for the 92ovr or do I have to keep going? I'm kinda tired of the sweatfest every game in ranked

No. You actually need to finish top 100 on the leaderboard. The cut off right now is probably 4500ish points and will continue to grow.
