Hmm, let's see how this goes. I had vowed never to buy any EA game ever again. New management will at least make me reevaluate.

It's a private equity firm that is the buyer. Should be a NET NEGATIVE. They will flip the company in < 5 years.

The acquisition will not be finalized until the 2027 fiscal year, which begins in April 2026 and with Saudi Arabia investors and Donald trump’s son in law buying will it be sold to another company in a few years or will it crash and burn. The games can’t get any worse so cool with it but with them going private now that could be a worry. From what I read the ceo in place now will still have his job guess we’ll see what the future holds. And who knows by then the deal might fall through

It's the Saudi's, they don't know football, they don't care about human rights, and they certainly don't care if you enjoy the game. They'll just strive to keep the exclusivity of NFL and NCAA football so you have no other choice. Want people that'll actually take care of the game and want to make it better, don't buy it next year.
