Onside Kicks Nerfed

If EA is going to F*ck up onside kicks because I guess…everyone that plays h2h all the time bitch and whine.

I don’t always play h2h games.  Some days like content days when we have weekly and milestones, I like to get the XP quick. There is no reason to treat solo’s and  solo seasons like h2h games. They could have made this change exclusively for h2h games and seasons. 

 I have spent two days now in every game mode, even practice mode, and it’s completely gone. I tried every way possible that you can with the accuracy meter and the power arrow . I figured it out on my own, taught myself, and was able to master it way back when  CFB25 came out. 

 I just had to get that off my chest because I couldn’t take it anymore. I was getting way too F*cking pissed off. 
So, now that I’ve shared my thoughts on this and said what I said, I can stop with the Negative Nancy and just live with it.

I have never had a problem with onside recovery, and I play a lot of pvp. I have a lot of people try it but it was rarely successful for them.

Hated when spammers/try hards would use this in online play, but had figured out how to stop it mostly - so no big deal - 

Loved being able to use it in CPU mode to help chew clock and complete XP challenges/objectives.

Since it is completely nerfed now, or at least seems that way,  it will be near impossible to complete some of the tower floors where it is a must to onside kick to have any chance at scoring enough points before time runs out. Good luck to those who hadn't completed yet.

Yea it’s really dumb. In H2H it’s not hard to cover the ball when someone does it. In solos it was great to complete challenges and chew clock. Now onside kicks are impossible in every way. I was messing around with it as well and haven’t even come close to getting one with any style of kick.

Anyone found a fix/method for this vs CPU?

No, there’s not one. What EA did doesn’t make any sense IRL football or in this video game. No matter the accuracy (with pressing the low kick button) or power (arrow) the ball is going to “Leaper 1” and very rarely “Leaper 2”.

Notice when you try the onside kick and just try tapping the A or X button depending on what system you play really fast don’t hold it down. Just tap it. Don’t fill the arrow up at all. 

Watch the ball takeoff like a rocket straight into L1  hands (“Leaper first row”)

I still can’t believe they did this because it is a legit formation and play.

The success rate in IRL football is like 6%

Definitely is, but the ball is still not kicked directly to Leapers on every play and the kicker can still kick it where ever he wants with less power.

Glad they patched this I never watch a game on Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or Thursday where kick off team starts the game with a on side kick !!

Right, all the more reason not to nerf plays. 
There’s really not much about ultimate team that is close to IRL football anyway.

This is ultimate team. Nothing close to IRL football.

Wasn't your original point that its a real play in football and now its unrealistic that the bounce is the same every play?

You just argued for realism and to not have realism at the same time.

No I didn’t. Jesus read it over. I said nothing in context that ultimate team should be more like real football. Its not close to real football and thats why they shouldn’t have messed with the onside kick. 
However, I compared their change to real life kickers and the onside kick play. The change they made with  accuracy and power takes away the whole point of having the L1 button for low kick. 
 The technique doesn’t work anymore. Like I said, the ball is always kicked to Leaper 1 first row or on rare occasions Leaper 2 second row. 
 Where as in real football, the kicker controls his power and accuracy. 
 But, I guess the reason why you wanna argue with me is because you don’t really understand what technique I’m talking about. 
 I had  no intentions to start an online argument. I’m only responding because people like you love to get on here and give negative feedback to everyone that starts a new topic. Because no matter what you are always right and everyone else is wrong. If you understood the controls on how it used to be beneficial in this game you would agree with me, but I take it you never knew how to do it in the first place so this change doesn’t affect you at all.
