doesnt work online but it does in practice mode and its so frustrating!!!! anyway to fix it. and yes i kept the zone drops default

Probably because it practice you are running stock plays that don’t manipulate it.

Online, good players know what routes to call that are going to put stress on match.

but its not stressing the match coverage. theres slot receivers that literally just run past the match coverage with no other players nearby and the match defender just stands there like its a normal zone

Is there a RB or TE on that side side of the field?

Also it is match, but it isn’t man. So you will get beat over the top by speed.

There were changes to the cover 3 match rules in the last update.

In general, if all routes on one side don’t more than 8 yard before breaking to the inside, match is disabled on that side.

Before the title update, only a drag would cause cover 3 match to disable.
