I did the challenge with a buddy so one of us could try blocking people while the other returns the ball.

I put Randy Moss back there and have an 86 overall team. Pulled blockers back manually, and only got to me and the punter 2 times out of around 20. When you go to juke him or cut the other defenders catch up. If you beat it, it's pure luck. I give up. Insane. Also, making you play defense is ridiculous too. Nearly every time they were in my face as soon as I caught the punt . EA needs to get a clue. Y'all remember when they said " the developers play the game more than anyone else", and they were so "in touch with the player base" . What a joke. Typical EA activities

I was just trying get a lateral off, and a guy just ended up getting open off the lateral.

Just did it - this glitch works!!!!
Take the punt return back to your own end zone and “intentionally fumble”aka lateral - if Oregon recovers and scores a td  on the play - you’ll complete the challenge
It’s still not that easy to do - u need a teammate to get behind u,hope he doesn’t catch the lateral and hope Oregon recovers in the end zone  to work - but way easier than scoring a punt return td yourself

I have an 85 OVR Team and they are being dominated n punts by a team that is being advertised as 75 OVR.
It feels like the CPU punt coverage team is more like a 910 OVR.
Is there a way to check this?

I could understand this challenge if one of this week's NOTG players is a punt returner and we got to use the player in our line up. My 85-86 speed guys are not able to get away from the national championship defense it is facing.

Punt return, hit stick, interception those challenges involve luck have to be gone. EA doesn’t have kindergarten level of IQ.

I figured out a workable method. Catch the point and start  lateraling (Left Bumper)  until you fumble. Pull your guys off and let them return it to your end zone for a touchdown and it counts as if you got the punt return for a touchdown. Ridiculous. Never could beat it legit

- PSA for EZ Win:
Lateral the ball as soon as you get it so that it will be a fumble and let the opposing team run it back to your end zone. This will then count as if you got the pumt return touchdown even though they did. This challenge is hell and this is the only way I found to beat It

yeah, no one behind him.
And the new challenges are jacked up as well.
Get 3 first downs from inside the 30....
You can not get the 1st one unless you are inside the 20, even though it states you are starting at the 30.
