The house rules event says that the winner gets two players of that same OVR, but every time I put up a player regardless of whether I win or lose I lose that player.

It says you a ovr BND player. You don’t get two. The main event screen says give tribute which implies you’re giving something away.
Some wild stuff from EA… literally making people sacrifice actual players to the Gods like it’s some blood ritual… Gonna get the Egyptian Gods next or what? Gonna have to sacrifice 2 98s to Ra lmfao.

You get back a pack if you win. Yes it's stupid and pointless if you don't plan on have all four gods.

The cost to play the game is you give up a card. You don’t get that card back. If you win, you open a pack and get a card. If you lose you get nothing.
So you are basically betting your 97 card on the chance to get a 98 if you win.
I didn’t realize you could use BND cards. So you can use any 95, 96, or 97 cards and try to upgrade to a higher card. But you don’t get it back if you win.

if u put a 97 in and win u get a 98 so i jus keep winning and getting my 95 n 96 n 97s to 98s for more traning
When I tried tonight it wasn’t asking for a player anymore it was asking for a token. Did they change it to a token instead of a player? Or is it broken?

Check the sets page. You exchange player there for a token.
