I was excited about the Gods of the Gridiron Promo. Used my excess coins to buy Poseidon at 1.8 mil and I pulled Zeus from training. With both of those cards, I did the research and seen that the House Rules event gets them the O AP abilities. Cool.
I went to do them- thought it was a bit weird to see the directions and do a 95, 96, or 97 all lined up. I did the 95 non BND as it stated, and got an Error Message: Server can't process your request at this time. Cool- I reset, did it again. Tried every permutation. Did 96 and 97 non BND's. I tried BND's. I reset the PS5, signed out- signed back in. I have done everything I could do.
I can play any other game mode- I just can't play Tyche's Challenge- you know, the only event that can actually give you the upgrade tokens to fully use the cards that you spent time and and money on.
I made the absolute mistake of reaching out to EA Customer Support, and they are pitiful. They have the worst customer service model of any company I have ever seen with a bunch of reps powerless to do anything but tell you that they have "escalated the case" and that they empathize with your plight, but they can't do anything.
This promo was an epic fail. And before you come into the comments talking about how the team is focused on CFB 26, good business practices means don't put out a half baked product or promo and expect customers just to understand. You make money from this- if you make a mistake, communicate and fix it as soon as possible. At least give the impression that you care. Mistakes happen, but the response to the mistakes are everything.
As this game comes to an end, I will not be supporting the new one the way this one was- and I know others won't either due to the failures of this team to close the year. This speaks more about the character of the company than anything- and I don't think they give one iota about those impacted by their issues.
