Upgraded a UD player but can't put abilities on him. Anyone else having this issue or knows how to fix it?

This is so EA. Not sure i only did the punter and kicker to 97 so far and can't put abilities on either.

I've got the punter at 95 OVR and can put abilities on him.

I can put them on but how do you activate them? In the special teams screen the cards don't even show up at all when i try to activate them.

Remove mental abilities, activate the player on Special Teams tab, then add the mental abilities back.
